The Sunter incinerator treatment facility (ITF) construction in North Jakarta will be executed in the upcoming August.
ITF is projected able to process 2,000-2,500 tons of garbage per day
Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat disclosed, Sunter ITF is much needed to reduce the dependence of garbage disposal to Bantar Gebang Landfill, Bekasi.
"Groundbreaking ceremony will be done next month," he expressed, Wednesday (7/12).
Finland Involved to Develop ITF in SunterHe added, PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) would invest in Sunter ITF.
"ITF is projected able to process 2,000-2,500 tons of garbage per day," he said.
On the other hand, Jakarta Environment Dept. Vice Head, Ali Maulana Hakim added Sunter ITF does not use City Budget (APBD).
"We will spend Rp 3 trillion to realize it. It's predicted to take about 18 months," he uttered.
